All my life, I have felt called towards various forms of art and DESIGN. Even at such a young age, I loved creating with anything I could get my hands on. I am passionate about exploring AND EXPERIMENTING WITH different mediums, applying the various techniques to whatever inspires mY WORK.

when I discovered letterpress during my undergraduate studies, I found something exciting about the marriage of letterpress and art. since then, with a decade of experience, i’ve continued to develop a deep appreciation for this unique art form; finding myself in a significant moment as part of today’s movement to exerciZe and protect this mindful, purposeful skill and process. i feel honored to be part of the conversation in keeping letterpress alive and relevant in times of change.

TPEL IS THE ARMENIAN WORD FOR “TO PRINT”. GROWING UP, MY GRANDFATHER (who was first generation american) WOULD SPEAK TO ME IN ARMENIAN, OR I WOULD HEAR HIM IN CONVERSATION WITH HIS FELLOW ARMENIAN FRIENDS. I LOVED listening to my grandfather TALK IN SUCH A UNIQUE LANGUAGE, ALWAYS FEeling A DEEP PRIDE WHEN HE DID. So, Tpel is a nod to my armenian heritage.

since 2015 tpel HAs GROWN FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS, PROGRESSING our way to COLLABORATING WITH REPUTABLE COMPANIES SUCH AS THE WHITE COMPANY, DESIGNING AND PRINTING THEIR EXCLUSIVE STATIONERY LINE, TO OPENING OUR VERY OWN STUDIO AND SHOP RIGHT IN THE HEART OF CHESTER IN 2019. although I strive for elegance and timelessness in my DESIGNS, i enjoy pushing the boundaries of letterpress through composition, materials, and color. My hope is that our paper goods become small works of art for you or others to enjoy and treasure for years to come.

Lindsay is from Upstate, New York, and met her husband (a native to the Wirral, UK) while both on athletic scholarships at Houghton university. Together, after getting married in 2015, they moved to ENGLAND AND CURRENTLY RESIDE IN Chester, CHESHIRE.
